Year 9 Electronics (9ELE)

Overview

You will investigate and understand simple electronics that are used in real world situations. This is a hands on course.

What will I learn?

• You will investigate simple circuits and electrical components such as LEDs, switches and batteries

• You will create circuits using a variety of media and including microprocessors

• You will investigate different power sources such as battery, solar, hydro and wind

• You will be introduced to the field of Mechatronics and you will program and use a variety of robots to solve problems such as following the maze.

Where does this course lead?

This course leads directly onto year 10 Electronics.
