Year 10 Economics & Business (10ECO)

Overview

This introductory course covers the basic concepts of Economics in the first term and then during the second term you will experience setting up and running a simple sustainable business where you will aim to take a product or service to market and hopefully generate profit. Much of your learning will be in a group environment. This is a half year course.

What will I learn?

• • Various aspects of economic decision making, economic management and economic participation.

  • You will undertake an enterprise group project where you must take a sustainable product or service to market.

  • You will also learn about aspects of personal financial management.

Where does this course lead?

This course is a good grounding for Level 1 Economics and Business.
