Year 10 Computing (10COM)

Overview

This is a practical course suitable for students with a passion for computing. You need to be self-motivated and capable of independent work, yet be prepared to ask questions and make the myriad of mistakes that learning to program requires. The ability to learn from mistakes is essential.

Prior experience with computer programming is not essential. This course will start at the beginning.

What will I learn?

• • use of 2d and 3d graphics software to create a range of design based outcomes

  • learn and apply computer programming concepts within the Python programming language

  • be exposed to Computer Science concepts of data representation and algorithms

  • website design and development process.

Where does this course lead?

This course leads onto Level 1 Computing.
