Level 1 Spanish (L1SPN)

Learning another language is a great way to gain access to the world of possibilities another culture offers. We will bring the language and culture alive through the use of a wide range of resources and technology. You will be involved in pair and group work. Traditionally this is a smaller class where you are able to make excellent progress in Spanish.

What will I learn?

This course focuses on developing your proficiency in Spanish language and improving your understanding of other cultures. You will develop the confidence to write, speak, listen and read Spanish in a range of familiar situations and settings.

What should I have done already?

You should preferably have completed a full year in Spanish at Year 10. If you are highly motivated to learn Spanish and have not taken the Year 10 course, you may be able to opt for Level 1 Spanish with the approval of the Head of Department.
